Early Life
Kate Upton was born Katherine Elizabeth Upton to Shelley and Jeff Upton on June 10, 1992, in St. Joseph, Michigan, United States. When she was seven years old, she moved to Florida to attend the 'Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy.'
Shelley Upton, her mother, is a former Texas state tennis champion, and her father was a high school athletic director. Fred Upton, her uncle, is a member of the United States Congress.

She was an equestrian in high school, competing in national contests such as the 'American Paint Horse Association' (APHA). She won three 'Reserve World Championships' with her horse Roanie Pony and was crowned the 'Under Reserve All-Around Champion,' bringing her total championship count to four. She finished third on the APHA's top twenty list for young people.
With her new horse Zipped, she won the 'Western Riding' and ranked among the top five in Horsemanship and Western Pleasure in 2009.

Career / Achievements
After signing with 'Elite Model Management' in 2008, Kate began modeling at the age of 15. She subsequently relocated to New York City and joined the modeling agency 'IMG Models.'

Kate considers herself to be a devout Christian. She was criticized for wearing a cross necklace during a photoshoot. She was shaken by the encounter and felt objectified as a result. She later got a crucifix tattooed on her ring finger.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy, a Ukrainian dancer, with whom she had a brief romance in 2013.

Kate began dating Justin in 2014 after her divorce from Maksim. In April of 2016, they announced their engagement. On November 4, 2017, the pair married in Tuscany, Italy.
